Working Principle

Liquid enters the self-cleaning filter and passes through the wedge wire screen, where contaminants gradually accumulate on the inner surface, causing a gradual increase in differential pressure. Once the preset pressure limit is reached, the control system initiates the self-cleaning process. 

During this process, a small portion of the filtered liquid returns to the filter body. A motor-driven brush (scraper) rotates to remove the deposited contaminants from the screen surface while a drain valve opens for discharge. The entire self-cleaning cycle typically lasts 12–18 seconds, maintaining continuous filtration with minimal flow rate fluctuation.
